IPM Topology Optimization based on NGnet

PRESENTER:

Due to the increasing demand for electrical device and motor design, optimal design using trial and error is being studied. In recent years, topology optimization that can significantly change the geometry itself has been attempted, and novel designs heretofore not considered are being created.

A normalized Gaussian network (NGnet) is used to express the geometries. JMAG optimization engine (genetic algorithm (topology), multi-objective genetic algorithm (topology)): [Genetic Algorithm (Topology)] and [Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (Topology)] can be selected when the topology optimization condition is set in a magnetic field analysis study or structural analysis study.

In this example, a case study in which the geometry of an IPM is optimized using topology optimization that uses NGnet is presented. Topology changes and the optimal cases can be checked.
